CHRONOPHOTOGRAPHY

Devising Choreography for the Camera: Experiment No. 1

With FurtherDance FW

On Friday, September 10, 2016, Danielle Georgiou, Artistic Director of the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group, was invited by FurtherDance FW to teach a class on devising choreography for the camera. In the class, they worked in a collaborative environment to devise movement that would become a fully realized piece of choreography. After just 1 hour and 30 minutes, they created and film a work exploring the ideas of conflict, civilization, natural law, resolution, and origins.

"Experiment No. 1" is the final product.

Original musical score by Justin Locklear.
